Australia have reached the final of the T20 World Cup by defeating title contenders Pakistan by five wickets. He will now play New Zealand for the title.
Australia reached the target of 177 runs set by Pakistan in Abu Dhabi by losing 5 wickets before playing the last over. Australia, who lost five wickets for 96 runs, needed 81 off 48 balls.
Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis shared an unbeaten 81 for the sixth wicket. The decisive 19th over was also in that. Wade was given life in the third ball of the over by Shahin Shah Afridi. He hit three sixes in a row in the fourth, fifth and sixth balls to give the team the victory.
Wade remained unbeaten on 41 and Stoinis on 40. David Warner scored 49 runs.
Earlier, after losing the toss, Pakistan lost 5 wickets in 20 overs and scored 176 runs. Mohammad Riwaz and Fakhar Zaman added 67 and 55 runs respectively.
