A group of 165 lucky residents of a village in Belgium have won the EuroMillions jackpot after banding together as a syndicate.
The group from Olmen in Belgium’s Antwerp province won a total of €142m (£123m).
Each of the 165 residents who signed up for the syndicate will walk away with around 860,000 euros (£745,000), Belgium’s National Lottery confirmed when announcing the final jackpot total at 142,897,164 euros (£123,492,872).
The group had made a pact together, all paying fairly and buying from the same newsagents.

National Lottery spokesman Joke Vermoere told Belgian media: “They all played together at the same newsagent in Olmen, where they each invested 15 euros (£12.96).”
She added: “It’s not the first time that De Pershoek has organized this kind of group pot, but it’s the first time that they have won so much.”
De Pershoek is the local newsagent in Olmen, and owner Wim Van Broekhoven told Belgian radio that most of his customers couldn’t believe it.
He said, “I often had to repeat it five or six times.”

EuroMillions said: “The winning numbers for Tuesday December 6 were 12, 20, 25, 26 and 27, with Lucky Stars 8 and 12.
“There were over 27 million entries purchased for the raffle, but only one matched the full winning line.”
This isn’t the first time communities have come together to increase their chances of winning big.
Earlier this year, 20 Australian miners came together to buy a ticket that won them $53m (£29m).
A lotto syndicate in the mining town of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, won the jackpot in October’s Powerball, with each worker becoming $2.6m (£148m) richer.
