The number of people available to work in the City of London hit a five-year high in 2022.
There was a 36% increase in the number of job seekers in the city’s financial services sector year-over-year – the highest level since 2017.
Vacancies are up 16% from 2021, according to recruitment consultants Morgan McKinley.

Wages have also swelled, with the average salary increase for someone moving from one company to another amounting to 22%.
But the number of job seekers in the fourth quarter of 2022 fell by 23% compared to the previous three-month period, while vacancies fell by 8%.
