The tragic young girl was found Friday evening in front of a building in the 19th arrondissement of the French capital, near the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont, after being reported missing.
Police told French media they discovered signs of kidnapping in the basement of the building and launched a murder investigation.
Detectives are currently reviewing CCTV footage showing the suspect standing in front of Lola’s building carrying a suitcase.
The security camera clip also showed the suspect entering Lola’s apartment building, followed closely by the young victim, at 3:20 p.m.
Officers believe the suitcase seen in the CCTV footage is the same suitcase that was found later that evening containing Lola’s corpse a few blocks away on rue d’Hautpoul.

Less than six hours later, a homeless man contacted police after he allegedly tripped over the suitcase and discovered the body inside around 11.30pm on rue d’Hautpoul – a stone’s throw from the victim’s home.
Police arrested several people, including the suspect who was seen carrying the suitcase and the homeless man who said they found Lola’s body.
The public prosecutor confirmed to BFMTV that signs of a struggle had been discovered in one of the basement rooms of Lola’s building.
