“She’s a mother and it doesn’t matter when her kids died,” the Georgia Republican also offered.
In a tweet, Greene held the Biden administration responsible for the deaths of congressional witness Rebecca Kiessling’s two sons – who died during former President Donald Trump’s tenure.
‘I read that she was very specific recently, saying that a mother – a poor mother who lost two children to fentanyl, that – that I killed her sons,’ Biden said of Greene during his Wednesday night appearance at the House Democratic Caucus Issues. Greene told DailyMail.com during a press chat at CPAC on Friday that she often ignores Biden’s comments. “But I think what’s important, from what I understand, he’s laughing at her,” Greene said.
The White House on Thursday defended Biden’s laugh with press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre saying he “expressed sympathy” to Kiessling – who was a witness at Tuesday’s House Homeland Security Committee and spoke emotionally of the loss of his sons Caleb and Kyler.
She has since demanded an apology from the president.
Greene argued that the Kiessling sons, despite having a history of drug use, did not expect to be poisoned with fentanyl when they took what they thought was Percocet, a prescription painkiller which includes the opioid oxycodone.
“They were poisoned by fentanyl that crossed the border from the cartels,” continued the Georgia MP. “That number has exploded. It has doubled now under President Joe Biden.
“And instead of Joe Biden laughing at me and laughing at her, Joe Biden should care about getting that number down,” Greene added.
Greene also told the press that she already backed Trump in 2024, mocking the former UN ambassador. Nikki Haley’s presidential candidacy and suggesting Florida Governor Ron DeSantis should stay in Florida.
“I never listened to Nikki Haley and I don’t think she’s going to do very well in the primary,” she said of the former South Carolina governor, who was scheduled to perform on stage at the CPAC later Friday afternoon.

“Well, what’s interesting is that the fentanyl that they took came in the last administration,” Biden said with a chuckle, referring to the deaths of Rebecca Kiessling’s two sons during a an appearance Wednesday at the House Democratic Caucus Issues Conference.

When asked how she felt about a DeSantis run, she praised the work he did in the Sunshine State.
“I think he’s a fantastic governor for the state of Florida and if I was in Florida, at snail speed things are done here in Washington, if I was in Florida I would give him a third term and beg him to remain governor,’ Greene said.
Greene was also asked if she would consider being Trump’s running mate, as ex-president and former vice president Mike Pence argued over Pence’s refusal to void the election while presiding. Congress on January 6.
‘We haven’t fully committed, it’s up to President Trump, who he chooses,” she said.
She played coy when DailyMail.com asked if she and Trump had discussed joining her 2024 ticket.
“What I talked about was legislation for this Congress and my focus on serving the 14th District of Georgia,” she said.
Nor would she name her ideal running mate Trump.
“I’m not sure, these are conversations that will happen in due course,” she said with a smile, as she left the crush of reporters ready to talk to her.
