A Swiss artist has projected photos of the Queen and Prince Philip “together forever” into the sky in a dazzling tribute to the late monarch.

Gerry Hofstetter’s project is called “Journey to the Stars – The Queen of England on her way to paradise”. The artist used the rolling clouds as a canvas on which to illuminate a final tribute to Queen Elizabeth II after her death.
Three months ago, during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Hofstetter projected images onto the famous Swiss mountains in partnership with the British Embassy in Switzerland.

The image taken last Sunday in Wembley, north-west London, mirrored photos of a young Elizabeth wearing royal uniform.
On another occasion, a woman shared an image of a queen-like cloud formation floating over an English town, captured just an hour after the monarch passed away.
“I come home and Lacey starts screaming OMG!” I panicked. Then she pointed this image in the clouds,’ said Leanne Bethell who took the photo on Facebook.
