BREAKING NEWS: Top Republican Writes to Treasury Secretary Seeking Information on Suspicious Biden Family Business Deals, Asks Twitter Executives to Testify Next Month on Hunter Laptop Story Suppressed

  • James Comer asked to see Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) that were reported by US banks regarding the Bidens’ financial activity
  • Comer’s committee is investigating the president’s knowledge and role in financial activity and ‘whether he has compromised our national security’
  • The Kentucky Republican also sent letters to former Twitter executives informing them that they had been asked to testify on February 6.
  • Representative James Comer took the lead as chairman of the powerful oversight committee with letters Wednesday morning urging the Treasury and Twitter for information regarding the Biden family’s business deals.

Comer, R-Ky., wrote a letter to Treasury Sec. Janet Yellen pressing her on the Biden family’s ‘suspicious business dealings’.

Comer asked to see Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) reported by U.S. banks regarding the financial activity of Hunter Biden, President Biden’s brother James, and other Biden family associates.

Comer asked to see Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) reported by U.S. banks regarding the financial activity of Hunter Biden, President Biden’s brother James, and other Biden family associates.

Comer’s committee is investigating the president’s knowledge and role in financial activity and “whether he has compromised our national security.”

Republicans in the last Congress – then in the minority – requested the SARs from the Treasury, which informed staff that it would only provide the documents if requested by committee chairmen.

Comer also sent letters to former Twitter executives Vijaya Gadde, who served as chief legal officer, Yoel Roth, former global trust and safety chief, and James Baker, former general counsel, telling them that their testimony had been requested at a hearing on 6 February.

“Your presence is needed because of your role in suppressing Americans’ access to Biden family information on Twitter shortly before the 2020 election,” Comer wrote.

“For years, the Biden family has peddled its influence and access around the world for profit, often to the detriment of our nation’s interests. The American people need to know the extent of Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s shady business deals and whether those deals threaten national security and his decision-making as president,’ the congressman told DailyMail.com in a statement.

Comer claimed on “Meet the Press” on Sunday that his investigation into Hunter Biden’s laptop was not “political” and focused on the president himself and his involvement.

“There are emails and text messages that show Hunter Biden complaining about having to spend so much money to keep his dad awake. I mean, it’s a concern because Hunter’s only source of income Biden came from our opponents in China and Russia for influence peddling,’ Comer said.

“So this is something we should look into. It’s not political. We want to know if the president was truthful when he said he had no knowledge or involvement in his family’s shady affairs. Once we figure that out, we’ll move on,” he added.

Last month, with Elon Musk’s takeover, the ‘Twitter Files’ revealed how a group of senior Twitter executives made the decision to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story first reported by the New York Post.

Comer’s letters follow Tuesday when the oversight committee launched a pair of investigations into President Biden’s handling of classified records that were found in his think tank office just before the midterms.

The White House confirmed Monday night that Biden’s personal attorneys found ‘a small number of documents with classified marks’ while clearing the president’s former office at the Penn Biden Center on Nov. 2, 2022.

Comer sent letters to the Office of the White House Legal Counsel and the National Archives and Records Administration, respectively, seeking more information about the case.
