The book includes a handwritten note from Oprah to Trump in January 2000 thanking him for acknowledging his integrity in a book he wrote at the time and suggesting they run for public office together.
In the handwritten letter, Winfrey writes: “Donald, I have received the excerpt from the book. I have to tell you that your comments made me cry a little. It’s one thing to try to live a life of integrity – it’s another one that people like you notice. Thank you, Oprah.
At the bottom of the letter first published by Axios, the iconic talk show host adds, “Too bad we’re not candidates. Which team!’
Trump wrote in his book, which will cost $99 or $399 for a signed edition, that he still thinks Winfrey is “amazing.” But he added that Winfrey didn’t feel the same way.
“Unfortunately, once I announced the presidency, she never spoke to me again,” Trump wrote.
Publisher Winning Team Publishing released Trump’s photobook “Our Journey Together” last year. This book brought in over $20 million in sales in the first two months alone.
Sergio Gor, the founder of Winning Team Publishing, told DailyMail.com: ‘What do presidents, royals, celebrities and business titans have in common? They all love Donald Trump.
“Long before entering politics, Donald Trump lived an extraordinary life. No book highlights his iconic relationships like Letters to Trump, and we’re thrilled to be able to share it with our readers.
The book will also include letters from Kim Jong-Un, with whom Trump says he remains in contact.
Trump said in 2018 that he and Kim “fell in love” after exchanging letters, but three meetings with the North Korean leader failed to persuade him to give up his nuclear bombs and missiles.
Other letters to appear in the book come from Trump’s 2016 Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton; Princess Diana; former New York Governor Mario Cuomo, father of Chris and Andrew Cuomo; golf star Arnold Palmer; famous actress and singer Liza Minnelli; and television host Jay Leno.
A letter from the late TV presenter Regis Philbin is addressed to ‘My dear Trumpster’.
